Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GermanArena, operated by EDITH Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Private Limited Company registered in Surat, Gujarat, India ("we", "us", "our").

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using GermanArena, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. If you use GermanArena on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for them.

2. Description of the service

GermanArena is an online German exam preparation platform. It provides practice questions, skill practice (Lesen, Hören, Schreiben, Sprechen, Grammatik), full mock exams in official exam formats, scoring and analytics, Teacher Mode for linking learners with their teacher, and paid subscriptions or per-module access.

We may add, change, or discontinue features to improve the platform. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce functionality you have paid for.

3. Account responsibilities

• You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
• Sharing paid access, credentials, or downloaded content with others is not permitted.
• Notify us at support@germanarena.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Subscription and payment terms

• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, according to the plan selected) through our payment processor.
• Prices are shown in the applicable currency at checkout and may include or exclude taxes as indicated there.
• Prices may change with prior notice. Changes never apply retroactively to a billing cycle you have already paid for.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds.

5. Refund policy

• 7-day first-purchase refund: New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first purchase, provided they have not used a significant portion of the paid content (as a guideline, not more than one or two completed full mock exams).
• After 7 days: Purchases are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Partial periods: We do not refund partial subscription periods. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current period already paid for.
• Per-module purchases: Single-module access follows the same 7-day policy, applied proportionally to that module's price.
• How to request: Send refund requests to support@germanarena.com from your account email. Requests are typically reviewed within 5–7 business days; approved refunds are returned via the original payment method.
• Abuse: We may deny refunds where we reasonably suspect abuse, such as repeated refund requests, account sharing, or misuse of exam content.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by emailing support@germanarena.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: you keep access to paid features until that date, and you will not be billed again afterwards.

7. Acceptable use

• No scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, or automated extraction of platform content.
• No reselling, redistributing, republishing, or commercially exploiting exam content.
• No sharing answer keys, sharing accounts, or helping others cheat in practice or real examinations.
• No attempts to bypass access controls, probe security, or disrupt the service.
• No uploading unlawful, abusive, or infringing material through writing or speaking submissions.

8. Intellectual property

All exam content, question banks, audio, platform code, design, and branding on GermanArena are owned by EDITH Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own exam preparation only.

Goethe-Zertifikat, telc and ÖSD are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only. GermanArena is not affiliated with any official examination body.

9. Limitation of liability

GermanArena is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee any particular exam result or score. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EDITH Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, engages in fraud or content misuse, or where required by law. Where a paid account is terminated for breach, refunds are at our discretion.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gujarat, India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
